Cervus Aureus
Hunting

The far north-western side of Lithuania, very close to neighbouring Latvia, offers a unique opportunity to hunt red deer, fallow deer and mouflon on the private forest area that abounds with amazing trophy-bearing wild animals.

The Balts (ancestors of Lithuanians) were well known for their hunting traditions, and deer were of particular importance. Many myths and beliefs about them were created. Lithuanians used to worship a nine-horned deer; it possibly was a totem of local tribes.

RED DEER

Have you ever hunted down a trophy deer you can be proud of? A red deer (Cervus elaphus) is the king of the forests not only in Lithuania, but also all over Europe.

FALLOW DEER

This is a cautious and sensitive animal, so you will feel the ardour in your attempt to silently approach and hunt it down without getting noticed.

MOUFLON

Usually found in groups at the edges of forests where they seek lush grass, so to be able to hunt one down you will have to search for unbeaten forest paths leading to open glades early in the morning.
